A beautiful fabric of blue mini-stripe figured silk, was used to make this pagoda-shaped parasol. On one of our new custom-made frames, this parasol is very appropriate for use during the Regency/Jane Austen time period. The handle is made of solid walnut, which goes beautifully with the dark-brown wood shaft.
The “tie/closure”, for this parasol, is made from DMC blue, and black, embroidery threads.
The full length of the his parasol is approx. 35.5″ long (from the end of the walnut handle, to the end of the shaft, which goes through the top of the canopy). And when open, the canopy diameter is approx. 27.75″ wide (measured from the fabric at the end of one rib, to the fabric at the end of the opposite rib).
