A gorgeous coral, and gold, silk damask was used to make this Regency-era parasol. A solid walnut handle complements the dark-brown wood frame. The “tie” for the parasol is secured to the canopy by a cord, fashioned from the same fabric; and, the “tie”, itself, is made with DMC embroidery thread, using colors found in the damask.
The full length of the parasol from the end of the handle, to the top of the shaft (emerges through the top of the canopy), is approx. 35.5″ long, while the diameter of the open parasol is approx. 27″ (from fabric at the end of one rib, to the fabric at the end of the opposite rib).
